In the much-contested mid-size SUV segment, the position of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade can unsettle many of its rivals. Even though mostly a carryover model of its predecessor, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade model will still have a much stronger hold on the current sales chart because of its earlier reputation which now will also have the support of a handful of active safety features added to the existing list.
After Hyundai has introduced the range-topping Calligraphy trim to the 2021 Palisade lineup, the popularity of this midsize SUV model from Hyundai has taken a big leap, which is still carried over this year, along with the expansion of some optional feature packages, explained the sales expert of the San Bernardino Hyundai dealership.
Power Domain
The most attractive aspect of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade midsize SUV models is power delivery. Having a 3.6-liter V6 engine existing in the current year lineup, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade allures the drive-enthusiasts with an impressive 291-hp. Its maneuverability is derived from a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission with both the choices of an FWD and AWD open for configuration. Being the big and bulky SUV it is, the 2022 model year edition of the Hyundai Palisade series could successfully take over its rivals, with its performance numbers. It takes only seven seconds to kick up a speed from a dead 0 to 60 mph, which is a figure at par with the entire segment. On the other hand, it takes only eight and a half seconds to cross a distance of a quarter-mile at a top speed of 140 mph.
Lineup Structure
Much like its 2021 model year edition, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade continues to spread its features in four distinctively identifiable trims; the SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy that adds more price to the base figure for enabling more quantity and quality of features to enhance the ride quality.
The entire lineup of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade compact SUVs carries a 3.8-liter V6 engine as the standard power source, hitched up with an eight-speed automatic transmission to send the engine power either to the front wheels or to all four of them, depending upon the configuration you choose. The SE trim of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade comes with a standard arrangement of second-row bench seats, at the lower stratum of the lineup, while the SEL and the still higher trims fill-up the second-row with captain chairs, as standard. Apart from these, the SEL trim can also be ordered with either of the two optional feature packages; the Convenience package and the Premium package to enhance the ride quality.
As per the San Bernardino Hyundai dealer, the Convenience package will add to the 2022 Hyundai Palisade model features like 20-inch alloy wheels rear sunshades, self-leveling rear suspension, wireless charging pad, a hands-free liftgate, a 115-volt household-style power outlet, an upgraded display for the driver, sound-reducing front side glass, and a pair of front parking sensors. The Premium package in collaboration with the convenience package adds to the existing list a leather-upholstered cabin, heated rear seats and steering wheel, power-folding third-row seats, power-adjustable passenger’s seat, a 10.25-inch display for the infotainment system with an in-built navigation system, a cabin intercom, while the safety package gets a new lane-keep assist feature as standard.
